Can I switch my limited plan to Unlimited plan anytime?

A) Yes, you may anytime, just call us at 785-452-9081 and we will be glad to switch the plans for you, no upgrade fees!


I live in Salina, but occasionally, I travel out of state, how can I use your nationwide services?

A) We offer more than 8000 locations nationwide. You will need to use your same login name and password for connections to the internet. We constantly add new dial up numbers nationwide, check the list periodically. If you want the list to be emailed to you, please email your request.


How do I join Worldlinc.net?

A) You can sign-up online with WorldLinc.net at http://www.worldlinc.net/sign_up.html  or you may call us 1-785-452-9081. We will be more than happy to sign you up and walk you through setting up your system to access the Internet with WorldLinc as your provider.


I get kicked off the Internet often. Why does that happen?

A) Many things effect your dial-up connection to the Internet. Static in the phone line can cause a disconnection even if you can't hear static when you are talking to someone. Modems operate at frequencies outside the human audiable range. Another common reason for a disconnection is call-waiting. If you have call waiting through your phone company, make sure you disable it before dialing into the Internet. If not, you will be disconnected whenever someone is trying to call you. OR you may want to replace your modem if the phone line is not the problem.


Certain Web Pages do not display correctly or the links don't work. Why is this?

A) Web pages are constructed using different types of web page design software. Normally this software is designed for use with different web browsers. For example, one web page might look perfect when viewing it using Netscape and not look correct in Internet Explorer. The two major web browsers today are: Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you are having a problem viewing a web page, try viewing it using the alternate browser. Both browsers are available for free download.


How do I change my password or recover it if I forget it?

A) To change your password or if you've forgotten your password, you will need to call us at 785-452-9081


Is there any way I can check my e-mail while I am away from my home computer?

I use Mozilla email and I get error when I send out emails, what do I do?

A) First, in the Mail/News settings in the Edit menu, go to server settings and check the box for "Use secure authentication." This sets both incoming and outgoing mail to use authentication. Click on OK to save the settings. Then 1) In the browser URL box, enter "about:config" to list variables 2) Enter "mail" in the search box to display only the variables containing "mail". 3) Look for the variable named "mail.server.server1.UseSecAuth" 4) The value of this variable should be "true". Click on it (twice?) to start a dialogue box for setting the value. Enter "false" in the dialogue box and click OK. This will turn off authentication for outgoing mail. This change goes into effect immediately, without rebooting or restarting Mozilla.

I can receive emails but cannot send emails, why?

A) You want to make sure your smtp number is set to 5190. See this link for instructions on how to change that in your email program.


I get disconnected from my internet every time I check my email, why?

A) In your Outlook program, you probably have the Hang Up option checked. To uncheck it, click Tools, click Options, click Connection, and uncheck Hang up after sending/ receiving. Click Apply, OK and Close.


I cannot open my attachment in my email program, why?

A) In your Outlook program, you need to uncheck Allow Open Attachment option. To uncheck it, click Tools, click Options, click Security, and uncheck Do Not Allow Attachment, click Apply, OK and Close.
